It was on a wild and stormy winter's night that wild women emerged from the Kitzlochklamm and descended upon the farmer at the Embach-Rain, a grassy hilltop above the spot where the Rauriser Ache flows into the River Salzach. Hunger had driven them from the gorge and so, in their need, they knocked on the door begging for food. The farmer opened his door and gave them something to eat. With their stomachs full, and as they were about to set out on their way back to the gorge, they turned to the farmer and asked if there were any special wish he had in his heart ...
Whether the farmer actually did express a wish, and whether or not these women were able to make it come true, is something you can learn more about during a torchlight hike through the Kitzlochklamm.
Accompanied by music performed by a quartet of musicians from Eschenau and Taxenbach, you will be able to experience a truly unique nighttime wonder - a torchlight hike through the captivating nature of Kitzloch Gorge.
The hike is led by a hiking guide.
