Stage 4: Rauris – Kolm Saigurn – Rauris
A particular highlight is the stage from Rauris to Kolm Saigurn and back. The tour starts in the center of Rauris and leads up the valley towards Wörth, Bucheben, and Kolm Saigurn. There are several opportunities to stop for refreshments along the way, including in Wörth, Bucheben, and at the turnaround point in Kolm Saigurn. The route runs predominantly on forest roads, alpine paths, paved bike paths, and minor roads.
Who is the trail suitable for?
The Hohe Tauern Bike Trail is aimed at sporty mountain bikers, e-bikers, and ambitious gravel bikers who want to experience a multi-day biking adventure in an alpine setting. The route is particularly easy to manage with an e-mountain bike. Sufficient battery capacity is recommended for e-MTBs, as the stages include some longer climbs and alpine sections.
Experience nature, show responsibility
The Hohe Tauern Bike Trail leads through one of Austria's most impressive natural landscapes. To ensure a sustainable biking experience for everyone, we ask for your considerate behavior: stay on the marked trails, respect grazing animals, adjust your speed, and leave nature clean.
This way, the trail becomes an experience that combines sport, nature, and responsibility.
