Our summer excursions 

The following excursions during your summer holiday are free of charge with the Rauris Valley and Taxenbach Guest Card and the National Park Summer Card. Further information is available from the Rauris and Taxenbach tourist office. 

Experience the unspoilt nature of the Rauris Valley on a guided hike. Our experienced hiking guides and national park rangers will lead you through breathtaking landscapes, past rushing waterfalls, green alpine pastures and impressive mountain peaks.

Into the valley of the vultures GUIDED NATIONAL PARK EXCURSION

 

Dates: every Wednesday from 10.07. to 04.09.2024
Autumn dates: 12 | 19 & 24 September 2024
1 & 8 October 2024
Meeting point: Krumltal car park at 8.45 am, open end at the Bräualm at approx. 1 pm
Costs: Euro 22,- per person, children free when accompanied by their parents (10 - 16 years).
Free with the Rauris Valley Guest Card and the National Park Summer Card.
Registration: Until the day before at 5 pm at the tourist office, T.: +43 6544 20022 (no registration necessary in July & August!)
Total walking time: 3 hours, approx. 400 metres ascent
Requirement: Moderately difficult summer excursion. Hiking or mountain boots with good tread soles required.
Other: Arrival by bus no. 640 possible; dogs are not permitted. 

Valley of vultures


The Rauris primeval forest GUIDED NATIONAL PARK EXCURSION

 

Dates:

Autumn dates: 10. & 24.09.2024

Meeting point: 9 am, Lenzanger car park (return approx. 1 pm)
Costs:

Euro 22,- per person, children and teenagers accompanied by their parents free (10 - 16 years). 
Free with the Rauris Valley Guest Card or the National Park Summer Card.

Registration: not required
Total walking time: approx. 3 hours, 200 metres ascent
Requirement: Moderately difficult excursion. Hiking or mountain boots with tread soles required.
Other: Travel to the Lenzanger car park via the Kolm Saigurn toll road (toll road) or
by bus no. 640 (timetables at the tourist office). Dogs are not permitted. 

Rauris Primeval forest


Alpine herb hike EXPLORE THE WORLD OF HERBS IN THE SEIDLWINKL VALLEY
Dates: 05. & 26.09.2024 
Meeting point: 9.15 am Fleckweide Seidlwinkltal car park
Costs: Free of charge with the Rauris Valley Guest Card or the National Park Summer Card, otherwise € 30 per person (excluding snack)!
Registration: until 5 pm the day before at the tourist office: +43 6544 200 22 or at info@raurisertal.at
Requirement: Moderately difficult summer excursion. Hiking or mountain boots with good tread soles required.
Other:

At the Gollehenalm, the collected alpine herbs are processed and 
You can fortify yourself with a home-made snack if you wish.

 


Hiking with Sabine - Tilly's forest trail GUIDED HIKE OF THE RAURISER HOCHALMBAHNEN

 

Dates: till 04.09.2024 at 1.30 pm - always on Wednesdays
Meeting point: 1.30 pm Rauriser Hochalmbahnen mountain station 
Costs: With the Rauris Valley Guest Card you get a discount on the ascent and descent and the hike is free!
Registration: not required
Total walking time: approx. 2 hours
Requirement: Good shoes, water bottle, sun protection, headgear
Other: Adventure for children: playfully explore the nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Tilly's hiking pass with reward: Punch animal motifs and receive a small gift at the ticket office. 

 


On the way to the deer rut! GUIDED NATIONAL PARK EXCURSION

 

Dates: Thursday, 19.09. & 26.09.2024
Meeting point: 6 pm in front of the National Park House "Im Facettenreich" in Wörth 
Costs: € 22,- per adult, children from 10 to 16 years free when accompanied by parents; free with the Rauris Valley Guest Card
Registration: until 12 noon the day before at the Rauris tourist office Tel.: +43 6544 200 22 or Tel.: +43 6562 40842933
End: approx. 8 pm
Other: Guided wildlife watching tour with a national park ranger. With a bit of luck, you might hear the typical roaring of the deer.
