Simple. A real mountain experience.

With over 295 km of marked hiking trails and alpine paths in the Rauris Valley and 70 km in Taxenbach, the region in SalzburgerLand is one of the largest and most diverse hiking areas in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Leisurely hikes across lush alpine meadows to the next snack at one of the serviced alpine huts, educational themed hiking trails and challenging three-thousand metre ascents. Past springs and waterfalls, to real natural jewels such as the Rauris primeval forest, the Rauris UrQuell spring or through the Kitzlochklamm gorge, along evidence of the gold mining era and under circling birds of prey. Mountaineers and hikers are in good hands in the Rauris Valley and in Taxenbach. Hiking in the Rauris Valley means active recreation with adventure value in the Hohe Tauern National Park

Take your backpack, put on your hiking boots - and off you go into the Rauris Valley!
