CYCLING in the Rauris Valley
There are several official cycle routes in the Rauris Valley that are suitable for both mountain bikers and leisure cyclists. Here are some of the best known:

These routes offer a variety of opportunities to explore the beautiful nature of the region on two wheels. They are well signposted and offer suitable challenges for every level of difficulty.

Spacious sunbathing areas, child-friendly swimming pools (24°C water temperature) and a magnificent view of the Hoher Sonnblick - the "Sonnblick outdoor pool" is the perfect place to spend a cosy day swimming. Particularly popular with children: the 51 metre long water slide and the playground.
Opening hours: open until 31.08.2025
(10.30 am - 6.30 pm), depending on the weather.

Tennis
Playing tennis is possible in Rauris in both summer and winter. There are three outdoor courts at the Sportstüberl, two outdoor courts at the Hotel Rauriserhof and two indoor courts in the indoor tennis centre.

Minigolf
Minigolf
The well-maintained 18-hole minigolf course is located in the centre of Rauris. The course is floodlit in the evening. With children's play equipment, table tennis and kiosk with terrace.

7th to 30th of June: Wednesday, Friday to Sunday 1 to 7 pm
July & August: daily from 10 am to 10 pm
September: Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun from 1 to 7 pm

Horse riding
Nigglgut riding stables
The Rauris Valley is particularly easy to explore on horseback. You can book riding lessons or rides into the Hohe Tauern National Park directly at Reiterhof Nigglgut.

Fishing at Landgasthof Weixen
You have the opportunity to fish at Landgasthof Weixen in the Seidlwinkltal valley in Rauris. You can prepare and savour your freshly caught brown trout and salmon trout from the fishing ponds at Landgasthof Weixen.

Rushing rapids, sparkling water, magnificent riverside landscapes. And don't just watch it all from the riverbank, experience it up close. Riding the waves by boat from the Kitzlochklamm gorge to Schwarzach (route length approx. 15 km) and conquering the white water armed only with a paddle: that's rafting. Here, everyone really is in the same boat. Together we conquer the wild waters of the Salzach. Of course, a state-certified boat guide is also on board.
Canyoning:
Canyoning is a mixture of hiking, abseiling, climbing, waterfall jumping and swimming. Gorges become slides, rock pools become whirlpools, ledges become diving boards. Canyoning is the latest adventure to reach the Alps. An experience for all those who want to have fun and adventure at the same time.
