Spring in the Rauris Valley: Spring Skiing & Time to Savour

In spring, the Rauris Valley shows its most enjoyable side: sunny skiing with plenty of space, firm, grippy slopes in the morning and wonderful spring snow in the afternoon – combined with pleasant temperatures, panoramic views and cosy moments in the mountain huts. At the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen, spring skiing is being extended again this year: until Easter Monday, 06/04/2026.

As the sun climbs higher, a day on the slopes turns into a true feel-good programme: a few turns in the spring air, then soaking up the sun on a hut terrace, enjoying regional specialities and simply staying a little longer because it’s just that nice. This unique mix of high-altitude sunshine, corn snow and Pinzgau treats is what makes spring in Rauris so special.

To add even more atmosphere on the mountain, colourful experiences await: During the retro weekend “A Winter Like Back Then” (13–15/03/2026), things get relaxed and nostalgic – with vintage vibes, charm and a warm “Griaß Di” in the huts. Over Easter, the Easter Bunny scavenger hunt brings shining eyes to little explorers – springtime fun included.

And away from the pistes, it’s a great time as well: The 55th Rauris Literature Days (25–29/03/2026) bring special cultural moments to the valley – with readings, talks and workshops. In Easter week, winter fun can be perfectly combined with the first signs of spring: winter hiking and snowshoe tours with National Park rangers, for example into the “winter wilderness” forest, or a relaxed walk along the Hochalm winter hiking trail.

And if you prefer to take it step by step in spring, the Goldberg Group offers impressive goals: ski tourers head towards the sun – in the direction of Hocharn (3,254 m) or Hoher Sonnblick (3,106 m). High alpine, quiet, and truly impressive.

  • Children up to the age of 15 receive a lift pass for the same validity period free of charge when one parent purchases a 3-day or longer ski pass at the regular adult rate.
  • Please note that this offer is only valid with proof of family relationship and for lift passes purchased directly at our ticket offices.
  • Salzburger Super Ski Cards and Echt. Fair. tickets are excluded from this promotion.
  • Early Bird Skiing – from 29/03 to 06/04, uphill rides are available from 08:30 am.
