Accessibility Statement

The Raurisertal Tourism Association is committed to making its website https://www.raurisertal.at accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act – WZG) Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019 as amended.

This accessibility statement applies to: https://www.raurisertal.at

Compliance Status

The website https://www.raurisertal.at is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03), pursuant to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the following exceptions.

Non-accessible Content

The content listed below is not fully accessible for the following reasons:

  • Some linked images and icons on our website currently lack alternative text. As a result, these links do not contain descriptive link text, which limits their accessibility for users of screen readers.

  • Additionally, some images and icons that convey important information do not have meaningful alternative texts. In some cases, decorative images were assigned alternative text unnecessarily.

  • Videos embedded on our website are currently not fully accessible. Making them fully accessible would constitute a disproportionate burden under the applicable accessibility regulations. Nevertheless, we are continuously evaluating potential improvements.

  • We strive to write our texts without abbreviations or foreign words and avoid complex sentence structures. If you find a text difficult to understand, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will gladly provide a more understandable version.

  • Please note that external services and widgets may appear on our website whose accessibility we cannot directly control.

  • Contrast issues are limited to cases where the legally required cookie banner overlays existing page content.

Disproportionate Burden

The Raurisertal Tourism Association aims to make our website accessible to all users. However, not all links on our website are fully accessible. Retrofitting these links or the content they refer to would represent a disproportionate burden, as it would require extensive resources and time. Nonetheless, the Raurisertal Tourism Association continuously strives to provide accessible alternatives and inform users where barriers may exist.

Preparation of This Accessibility Statement

Older content and documents available on the website are not accessible. As they were published before June 28, 2025, they are exempt from the Accessibility Act. No comprehensive modification is currently planned.
This statement was created on July 18, 2025.

Enforcement Procedure

If you do not receive a satisfactory response from the contact mentioned above, you may file a complaint with the complaints body of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the complaint contact form.

The FFG assesses whether the complaint relates to violations of the Web Accessibility Act, particularly regarding non-compliance with accessibility requirements by the federal government or institutions affiliated with it.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG will issue recommendations for action and propose measures to eliminate the deficiencies identified.
