The Rauris Valley ski area is one of the most beautiful in the Alpine region. The ski area offers a wide variety of exciting pistes and skiing experiences for every skier and snowboarder. The convenient summit lift, an 8-passenger gondola, carries you quickly and comfortably to an elevation of 2,175 m above sea level. Awaiting you there, aside from magnificent views of the surrounding mountain world, is a broad network of tree-less slopes that gives you a sense of boundless freedom. With magical north-east facing mountainsides, you are greeted by a deep-snow paradise that is quite beyond compare. Whether pro or rookie, in Rauris Valley you are certain to find what you are looking for. Friendly huts and bars invite you to stop by for refreshments and a bit of après-ski fun.
Winter in Rauris is filled with deeply rooted charm, treating families – far removed from the hustle and bustle of mega ski resorts – to a sense of true quality and hospitality. A place where you never feel lost in the crowd, this ski area offers perfect slopes and unlimited skiing enjoyment for every generation and ability. The kids, too, are in perfect hands, both out on the baby hill as well as at local children’s ski schools. Tilly, the mascot, enchants all of the youngsters, and even takes part in the action when it comes to toboggan races on the baby hill. The Kreuzboden chairlift runs twice a week in the evening, meaning that fans of sledding can zoom down the floodlit hill to the valley below.
In the winter season 2016/17, the Skiareatest team was on the road in the European Alpine region and took a closer look at the participating ski resorts. The award for the promoter of the year 2016/17 was awarded to the Rauriser Hochalmbahn. Furthermore, we are test engineers in the categories slope maintenance and safety.
