African Sledding Championships on the Kolm Saigurn natural sled run
On 8 March, the natural sled run hosted the African Sledding Championships for the 3rd time – “Austria’s coolest integrative event".
Sledding enjoyment, day or night, awaits you on the 2 km-long Kreuzboden sled run, which drops from the Kreuzbodenhütte (refreshment opportunity) in the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen ski area, down to the valley station of the Kreuzboden chairlift (hours depend on snow conditions).
The sled run is open daily during daylight hours. In addition, on Monday and Thursday you have an opportunity from 7 until 8:30 p.m. to ride the Kreuzboden double chairlift to the start of the run at around 1300 m above sea level.
Sleds can be borrowed at the Kreuzboden valley station as well as at the Kreuzbodenhütte.
